Baccarat
has been around for while and has a reputation of being a popular card
game amongst the high rollers. However, today players who are minding
their budget enjoy Baccarat even more. The rules of the game are easy to
follow and straightforward. In no time you’ll find yourself a wiz at the
game. The object of the game is to make a call on the banker’s hand or
the players hand if you foresee a win, or if the game results in a draw.
By adding the value of
each individual card that the hand holds, the sum together will give you
the value of the total hand. The “royal “ face cards and number 10
cards always count as zero. All other numerical cards are counted by its
number value. The next step is to sum the total amount at hand and only
the last digit is used.
Baccarat
hands are always valued from 0-9, so the hand with the higher value wins.
The game results in a tie if the hands have the same value. At first, the
banker and the dealer are dealt two cards. If the two cards total 8 or 9,
the hand is called a “natural” and at that point the game will end.
However, using the "third Card rules" of standard Baccarat will
determine if a third and final card should be dealt.
Winning bets are paid
at 1 to 1 odds on a player´s hand. There is a 5% commission charge on
winnings as a result of a bet on the banker; making the odds on banker
bets 0.95 to 1.On a tie bet a winning wager is paid at an 8 to 1 odds.
However, if the game ends in a tie, bets made on the banker or player are
given back.
